If its has darker/black hair color on it (not just natural) it is much harder to remove. It can take a few processes to remove to the proper lightness, this depends on the hair type, texture, porosity,ect.. it's very time consuming and takes alot of product ect. Its definitely possible but as a hairstylist for 20+ year's, I find people have unrealistic expectations of this service. They don't have the patience (time, maybe even multiple visits) or want to pay for the multiple processes and visits so basically this is a pain in the ass to do on a client.! Truely this is why hairstylists don't want to do it, therefore tell you it cant be done. It is totally possible though because I color my own hair every color imaginable and currently have black underneath and on the root area with silver mid-shaft to ends,but i do my own at home and at my own convenience and multiple processes ect by the way everyone note:the hairstylist at the end says 7 hours later then showed results all done in a 15 minute edited video, that's why clients have unrealistic expectations

Question. You state 1:1 ratio but list 20g, 10g, and 30g which total 60g but then only 50g of developer? Help?

My hairdresser took my hair from black to my original roots, which is very silver. It took 28 hours and cost me well over two grand, but it was worth it.

so say if a client comes virgin level 2, would i have to apply 12.11 30 vol all over and then apply the formula globally. and as for retouch it would be repeated the same?

How many hours and what did you charge?

Her hair looks beautiful but it's definitely not platinum which was the end goal. She needed a 3rd lifting process to knock out the residual gold and the Colorance formula was way too dark and it doesn't get mixed with 10vol. it has its own acidifying developer. 10 vol. will still expand the cuticle whereas the Colorance developer will shut it down. 8SB cut with clear or with 10V would've given you a lighter and more translucent result. You should be clear that this process is not always possible or recommended in one session. Most hair can't go through this without time to restore tensile strand strength through keratin bonding and conditioning treatments. I know this video is from 2019 so hopefully you're utilizing a bonding treatment and protecting your double and triple lifts now. I also hope that juice kept you all covid free! Sauld!

I wanted my grey roots to blend into my natural black hair and was given grey highlights and told its suttle transition. Who said i want suttle, the whole point of me going to a hairdresser is big impact when i leave. 😂
